• Ministry of the Sacraments of Anointing of the Sick, Holy Communion and Reconciliation, where desired. (At certain times any of these or all can be called “Last Rites”.)
• Visiting in hospitals, retirement homes, nursing homes, private homes and prisons to provide support that involves listening and facilitating communication, and assessing spiritual needs and concerns.
• Providing hospice palliative care support to patients, who have life threatening illnesses, and their families.
• Bringing communion to the sick and shut in.
• Providing transportation to people for medical appointments/treatments, counselling, etc.
• Guiding people going through grief process.
• Providing support to people in the formation of their faith.
• Sponsoring and supporting new immigrants.
• Bridging with the larger faith community and participating in diocesan celebrations such as Chrism Mass at Notre Dame Cathedral. |
